In 2018, the light will see the new Volkswagen Touareg (photo below) - this is truly a landmark event, considering that the last restyling of the popular crossover was held four years ago. The German manufacturer reported on the preparation for the release of the updated model in 2016; Thus, for almost two years now, Touareg fans have been waiting for the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the changes made by Volkswagen - and they are expected to be plenty.

The release date of the first generation Volkswagen Touareg is September 26, 2002. At that time, the idea of crossovers had not gained enough popularity, and the dynamics of sales of new cars left much to be desired until 2006, when an updated version of the Tuareg was offered to the attention of buyers at the Paris Motor Show. In addition to the “face lift”, the crossover got ABS and new generation cruise control. Volkswagen also eliminated the problem with an automatic transmission that was unstable in models of the 2002 model year.
In 2007, the presentation of the Volkswagen Touareg R50 with improved speed and power was presented at the International Motor Show in Australia: a five-liter ten-cylinder engine provided acceleration to 100 km / h in just 6.7 seconds (350 horsepower).
The second generation of crossovers produced since 2010. The sample of the new Volkswagen Touareg, presented at the Munich Motor Show, increased in length and width (by 4.3 and 1.2 cm, respectively), but became lower by as much as 2 cm.
