New laws for powerful cars
If the amendments approved by the deputies come into force, then for each “horse” customers will have to pay an additional seven hundred to one thousand three hundred rubles. The exact amount calculated for each car will be included in the price of the new vehicle.
At present, car owners have to pay an additional amount, the engine power of which exceeds one and a half hundred “horses”. The average surcharge amount is sixty thousand rubles. Buyers who plan to buy a car in 2018 (or later) will have an unpleasant surprise. The fact is that their expenses on surcharge for vehicle power will be much higher.
For example, if we are talking about the "iron horse", the engine power of which is more than two hundred "horses", the expenses of the future car owner will increase by one hundred forty thousand rubles. A year later, the excise tax will increase by another ten thousand rubles, and a year later by five. More powerful cars, which hide from three to five hundred "horses" under the hood, will rise in price because of the increase in the cost of excise tax even more. The amount of surcharge is measured in hundreds of thousands of rubles. The maximum possible increase in the cost of a new car will be seven hundred thousand rubles.

If the car is powerful, it means that it is expensive. Naturally, the most expensive cars go up the most. These vehicles include sports cars or premium sedans. Luxury cars are determined by the price, which begins with approximately five million rubles. Naturally, such “iron horses” are bought by rich people who, it seems, the excise tax increase will not worry much. Meanwhile, even rich people can not buy a car if the salon does not give them a discount.
If we talk about cars in the price range from two to five million rubles, then the future owners of such “iron horses” will hardly be happy with the increase in excise taxes. It is possible that car dealers will take into account the wishes of consumers. For example, at present, some dealers are interfering with certain settings of sold vehicles.
