In turn, from foreign sources it became known that the industrial capacity of the plant in Ohio will be partially transferred to the company, located in Chicago. It will take about 6 months. Part of the reorganization will be the transfer of the Cherokee release to a factory in Belvidire, Illinois, where until December 23, 2016, the old Compass and Patriot were produced. It is clear that the current generation of models will be produced until the beginning of spring 2018, while the official start of production of the new Wrangler is scheduled for November of this year. After that, FCA will close part of the factory to prepare for the assembly of the Wrangler pickup. Thus, 2 generations of the car will be produced simultaneously for several months.
It is not yet known exactly when FCA intends to officially present the new Jeep Wrangler JL. Most likely, the premiere of the iconic all-terrain vehicle will take place in the second half of this year, and from the beginning of the 2018 the company will present a new pick-up.
