At one of the US forums of Jeep Wrangler fans, information appeared about the model of the new generation, which will receive the JL index instead of the current JK. It is reported that the official premiere of new items will be held December 1 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. In turn, the model will appear at dealers until the end of 2017.

At the beginning of the implementation, the new Wrangler will be available with a modernized 3.6-liter petrol powerplant V6 Pentastar and a manual or automatic transmission. A car with a 2-liter turbo engine with an automatic transmission will also be available. Later, the diesel version will appear.

Judging from the published pictures, the next Jeep Wrangler will retain the common features of the predecessor, as well as removable doors and roof panels. But the new car, unlike the previous version, will have a sliding hard top with electric drive.

Also, the Jeep will have a stop-start system, a button for starting the engine and a seat with lumbar support adjustment.
