The current generation of Kia Optima sedans have been on the line for the past five years. Without any major changes, this model, which is popular all over the world, has been sold and bought for too long, and it is clear that you cannot stand in one place, you have to offer something completely new, otherwise there is a risk to miss the time and the client. That is why the developers of the company brought a new model Kia Optima to the car dealership, having managed to keep all the advantages of the old version in it and adding the style and capabilities of the car to a more advanced class.

The design of the new Kia Optima, thanks to the ubiquitous paparazzi, is already known to a mass audience. First of all, a more modern grille, smoothly flowing into the headlights with a slanting squint, triangular air intakes on both sides of a fairly massive looking bumper is striking. Rear mounted more modern LED lights that will make the car more noticeable on the road.

Kia Optima slightly increased in size. The wheelbase is now 2805 mm, which is a centimeter longer than the previous one, and a twenty-five-millimeter increase in width brought this characteristic to 1860 mm. Outwardly, such an insignificant change is almost imperceptible, even if you put both cars side by side, however, the increase in space in the cabin is subjectively felt, the interior has become more voluminous.

Interior trim is made of more expensive materials, which makes it more comfortable, more "elite". In the functionality of "Optima" added options that are typical for cars more advanced level. These are ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), a system for monitoring blind spots, a circular view system. This is also added emergency braking system, which in the autonomous mode determines both vehicles and pedestrians, and at a relatively low speed will allow preventing an emergency situation.

Updated "Optima" will be released with engines of different power. Both engines from the old version will be moved here: a 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine with 185 horsepower and a 2-liter turbo engine with 247 horsepower. At both present six-speed  transmission-machine. And the third option will already be equipped with a novelty - a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine, at the maximum outstanding power of the herd of 178 horsepower. Here will be installed seven-speed dual clutch box DCT.

All these features apply only to "Optima", which will be promoted in the US market. With a complete set of cars for the European and, in particular, our, domestic market, the automaker has not yet decided. The answer to this question will be given in the second half of this year. And at the moment we have only the words of the Korean developers that, regardless of the engine, which will be equipped with models for Russia, their handling will be much higher than the old version of the Kia Optima.
