MPs propose substantial toughening penalty for driving without a license. Especially if the citizen is caught up with it again. After making the relevant amendments to the administrative code, which are supported by the senators, the fines for driving without a permit will double, the violator can be either brought to compulsory work, or arrested for a fixed period of time. The duration of compulsory labor for the benefit of the state will vary from one hundred to two hundred hours, the size of penalties will round up to thirty thousand wooden ones, and you can just sit in jail to wash off the repeated sin of driving without a license, up to fifteen days. Such is the brief essence of the bill put forward by the deputies V.Tyulpanov and V.Fyodorov. Amendments will be made to Article 12.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. 
Currently behind re-driving a car without a license traffic police officers can fine the delinquent in the amount of five to fifteen thousand rubles. The deputies in the explanatory note to the bill rightly believe that if a person who has been legally selected has got behind the wheel again, he is a criminal who deliberately violates, and this is a repeat offense for which he must be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Deputies, who came up with the idea of developing such amendments to the Administrative Code and creating a new draft law, use traffic police statistics to demonstrate the importance of the problem. Over the past eleven months, traffic police officers detained 343,000 citizens who, without having valid driving rights, nevertheless, were driving their vehicle. Of such a huge mass of violators, eleven thousand detained citizens did not have any driver's license at all, since at the time of their detention they were not even sixteen years old.
