Particulate filter
Modern cars are sharpened by efficiency and small emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere. The introduction of such a policy required a lot of complex additional equipment, which often becomes unusable.
Why do we need a particulate filter
Modern diesel engines are equipped with a turbocharger to squeeze more power from small engines. As a result, the gas particles in the exhaust become even smaller and almost indistinguishable to the human eye.
The separation of the smallest particles is the main task of the filter material. The delayed particles of soot settle on the surface of the filter and form a kind of crust. Active electronics monitors this process and automatically starts the regeneration process. The driver of the vehicle does not even know about the regeneration process, the electric heater burns the soot crust without direct contact and regeneration takes place automatically. Now the cleaned filter has become almost like new, except for a small part of the ash, which falls to the bottom of the filter.
Replacing the particulate filter
Absolutely any part of the car with time deteriorates and becomes unusable. If we talk about filters, belts, bushings, then all these parts are consumables, which should be changed according to the regulations and it is specified by the manufacturer.
