The pads with soft material do not cause any noise when braking, but they will also last an order of magnitude less.

 • Another case was when the brake discs were sufficiently worn out, “shells” appeared, uneven wear or were completely crooked (the curvature appears with long, prolonged braking, after which a puddle was hit). In this case, get rid of the opposite squeak, it is possible only after replacing the brake disc, or its full groove on a special machine.

 • Non-rolling pads can also cause squeaking. In this case, just be patient for a couple of days, if that doesn’t help, then look for the reason further.

 • Of course, excessive wear on the shoes causes unpleasant grinding. After the material intended for braking is completely erased, it comes to the steel plates to which this material is soldered. And as you know, the friction of metal on metal causes an unpleasant sound.

 Use of lubricants

 Ardent motorists sometimes try to lubricate the pads with lithologic, graphite and other lubricants. As a result, for some time the nasty sounds will disappear, but do not forget, the lubrication of the brake pads will significantly worsen the braking process, and this is at least not very safe! Special lubricants appeared on the market that do not impair braking, but this is just a marketing ploy. After a few days of riding, the rattle will reappear, and you will again need to lubricate the brake system, this will happen until you eliminate the creaking and squeaking in another way.
