The history of the creation of the Nissan Qashqai
This car was created entirely from scratch, to fill the popular market niche of compact SUVs. The project was made in the British design center Nissan through digital modeling. The final look of the car was created by London designers, and we still see that look, with some modifications. The creators approached the name of the model creatively: the car was named after the ancient tribe of nomads Qashkaev, living in the territory of modern Iran to this day. First, this idea was used by the Volkswagen company, christening its SUV named Tuareg - the name of a tribe of North American Indians. In Russia, these car owners are affectionately called "cats", and in their homeland, in Japan, this Nissan is sold under the name Dualis.
