Honda, the leading Japanese automaker, unveiled the “top-end” Civic Type R hatchback of the new generation at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. New retained front-wheel drive, 2-liter turbo-unit and manual transmission, but received a lighter and more rigid body, as well as a different scheme of the rear suspension.

As is known, the serial Honda Civic Type R 2018 has received an upgraded "turbo" with direct fuel injection VTEC Turbo. The power of the power unit has increased to 320 "horses" at a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed "mechanics", which has the function of automatic peregazovki when downshifting.

It is reported that the "charged" Honda Civic Type R will be available only in the top configuration with a 7-inch multimedia display and 540-watt acoustics with 12 speakers. Powertrains for the new Japanese cars will be produced in the USA, and the model will be launched in the British Swindon. In Europe, cars will be available from the summer of 2017.
