Today we have a new Range Rover Sport 2014 - the second generation, this model belongs to the 2014 model year.
The premiere took place at the end of March 2013 at the New York Motor Show. Like the previous model of this British car, the new car has an increased rear window tilt when compared with the non-sports version of the Range Rover. Also on the new car installed air intakes on the front fenders - they give the new Range Rover Sport a swift and sporty look.
The front of the Range Rover Sport 2 is made in the style of the new Range Rover Evoque, it has narrow headlights that go to the wings, a small grille and a similar to the Evoque bumper. You can say the same about the stern of this novelty - it is decorated in the style of the Evoque mentioned above.
The main difference from the "first generation" Range Rover Sport is less weight, now the weight of the car is 420 kg less thanks to the aluminum PLA platform, which stands for Premium Lightweight Architecture. The body, by the way, is completely made of aluminum, so the new Range Rover Sport has become so light.
In addition, the new Range Rover Sport 2014 has become even 62 mm longer, but 55 mm lower than its predecessor. Thanks to the reduced overhangs, the length of the wheelbase has increased by 178 mm, and 2 extra seats can now be accommodated in the trunk.
Of the innovations it is also worth noting that the SUV is equipped with an independent aluminum suspension. Pneumatics is installed here the fifth generation, due to which the ground clearance can vary in the range of 115 mm. In general, the clearance of cars Range Rover has always been on top.

Next year they plan to appear in the line 2 more diesel vehicles with capacities of 258 and 339 horses. They can accelerate to a hundred within 7 seconds. A diesel-electric hybrid modification will appear very soon.
New British cars, as before, will be equipped with all-wheel drive, depending on the version, all-wheel drive may differ: 4WD or AWD. Both of them are good, but cars with AWD are 18 kg lighter.

Of course, the new Range Rover Sport 2014 is equipped with an electric power steering, and an excellent security system. This car will go on sale at the end of the summer of 2013.
