This event happened quite recently - on May 3, 2013, the most powerful modifications of Turbo and Turbo S in the updated Porsche 911 line were presented at the exhibition in Moscow.
The show of the new Porsche 911 cars was shown on the 50th anniversary of the 911 model. Visually, the updated Porsche 911 Turbois visually distinguished from the modifications by the front bumper with air intakes, by the wide front spoiler and air intakes near the rear wheel arches.
Also, the difference in the presence of a wing and an improved rear bumper with a vent and four rectangular nozzles.
In addition, the Porsche 911 Turbo2014 - the widest in the line - rear wheel arches 28 mm wider than the 911 Carrera 4.
Performance at Porsche 911 Turbo
Under the hood, the Porsche 911 Turbohas an improved 3.8-liter engine, which produces 520 horses (20 horses more than its predecessor), and the Turbo S modification has 560 horsepower (30 more than the previous model). Almost as many horses are in the new Range Rover Sport, which accelerates not as fast as this Porsche.
The gearbox on these devices is a 7-band PDK, which transmits traction to all 4 wheels thanks to a multi-plate clutch under electronic control.
From zero to hundreds, with the Sport Chrono package, the Turbo version is able to accelerate in 3.2 seconds, as for the Porsche 911 TurboS - it is a little faster in 3.1 seconds. The maximum speed of these devices is 318 km / h. So, it is safe to say that these cars are much faster than the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, although, of course, these are not comparable things. And even the Turbo C will be slightly faster than the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, but not much.

In addition, the Porsche 911 Turbohas become more maneuverable, thanks to the rear wheels, which turn the front wheels in anti-phase at a speed of up to 50 km / h. Such a move virtually reduces the wheelbase by 250 mm and makes the machine more maneuverable.
And at a higher speed, the new Porsche became more stable when cornering, as at a speed of over 80 km / h, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front ones, while virtually increasing the wheelbase by 500 mm and ensuring stability when turning.
