The American automaker Jeep is constantly stirring up rumors of a future Wrangler SUV. Now the Internet has new information about new items. This time the source of the leak was the internal documentation of the supplier of components.
So, the main task of the company's engineers is to make the new Jeep Wrangler such as to fit it into harsh eco standards. The company plans to maximize the relief of the body, so the new product will be built mainly from aluminum (Land Rover uses similar technologies), and now it has become known that this material will be used in the manufacture of at least doors and a bonnet.
According to internal documentation, Alcoa, which supplies a range of components to Jeep conveyors, is said to be building front, rear doors and a bonnet. In addition, to manufacture them intends from some kind of new aluminum alloy, which for the first time will find its application in the production of automotive components. What kind of alloy, is not specified.
We add that the mass production of the new generation of the iconic SUV Jeep Wrangler will begin in 2017 at the plant in Ohio, in the reorganization of which the company has already invested about $ 700 million.
Meanwhile, the tuning studio Mopar will present in Paris two special versions of the Jeep.
