The manufacturer said that we are talking about 353 thousand cars sold in the United States, 26.5 thousand cars in Canada, 13 thousand - in Mexico and 84.3 thousand - in other countries of the world.
As part of the second service campaign, 93.3 thousand cars of the 2015 Jeep Compass and Patriot model year were recalled, which could cause a fire due to leakage of power steering system fluid. In this case, the US market accounted for 60.1 thousand cars, 5.8 thousand cars sold in Canada, 3.4 thousand cars in Mexico and 24 thousand cars outside of North America.
The manufacturer also clarified that at the moment there are no incidents related to these defects. Faults will be fixed for free.
