The Japanese introduced a new generation of Subaru Impreza, and sedan and hatchback, sales of which will begin on the car market of the Rising Sun in the coming autumn. Actually, this is news only for the Japanese market, because the first swallow is new Subaru Impreza, intended, however, for the American market, presented last March, during the New York Auto Show. Almost half a year it took Japanese developers to bring to mind new generation version of Subaru Impreza for home car market. Sedan here will be officially referred to as Subaru Impreza Гч, and "pyatidverka" as Subaru Impreza Sport.
The basis new generation Subaru Impreza laid the latest modular platform SGP. The dimensional characteristics of the Japanese version are exactly the same as for the American market: the four-door is 4 m 62.5 cm long, 1 m 45.5 cm high. Not much higher than a sedan hatchback: 1 m 48 cm, and its length is slightly shorter - 4 m 46 cm. At the same time, both models are wide Subaru Impreza same - 1 m 77.5 cm, they also have the same wheelbase of 2 m 67 cm.
Japanese car market new generation Subaru Impreza will be equipped with a 154-horsepower 2.0-liter engine installed horizontally opposed. This gasoline engine works in tandem with a variable-speed transmission. Both Impreza - both sedan and hatchback Japanese will be able to buy both front and all-wheel drive.
