The British automaker MG, bought, however, at one time by the Chinese corporation SAIC, is going to begin to compete in the very near future in the SUV segment with the more eminent Nissan, and specifically with the Nissan Beetle and the Nissan X-Trail. For this, the British will soon finish the development of two crossovers. One of them will be officially presented at the beginning of the next, 2017. The second, most likely - towards the end of 2017 - the beginning of 2018. To date, MG in the crossover model range there is only one car - compact cross MG GS. This "parquet SUV" was planned and created initially, as an opponent to the Japanese Nissan Juke. Its sales have recently started only in the Celestial itself. The Chinese are going to sell it in Britain, but the compact crossover has not reached the Foggy Albion yet, it is expected in the next couple of months. Interestingly, the English version of the crossover MG GS absolutely no different from the version that the Chinese are doing for themselves.

In addition to the niche of compact crossovers, the Chinese want to shake up the C-class segment by developing and launching sales to direct competitors. Nissan X-Trail. When this new SUV appears on the car market, the Chinese do not specify. But they will be in a hurry, because crossovers are at the peak of popularity all over the world today, and dragging out the tires with the release of new models means losing customers who are more likely to lure more nimble competitors to themselves.

In addition to the promised two crossovers, managers of the British-Chinese auto brand MG are going to please the world car market with a couple more sedans and hatchbacks. They are not going to do sports cars yet, because the demand for them has recently been small. First of new MG crossoversthat will soon appear on the car market, according to managers, will be somewhat less MG GS. No exact parameters were named, but if you look at the dimensional characteristics MG GSit becomes clear what is at stake. In length MG GS it is extended by exactly four and a half meters, it was 1 meter wide and 85.5 cm wide, and rises 1 meter 67.5 cm above the ground. The wheelbase for these sizes is 2 m 65 cm. Under the hood, the same power units: this is a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with 170 horsepower. In the future, the English version will also get a diesel.
