Deadly Ring Road

According to statistics from the traffic police of Moscow over the past few years, you can identify the main dangerous routes of the capital. The first place in the number of accidents is occupied by the Moscow Ring Road - the most dangerous, disastrous road of Moscow. In the presence of separation barriers, it is on this high-speed and nervous ring road that a huge number of accidents occur. About a hundred people become victims every year, between 700 and 900 people are injured.

Critically high accident rate on the Moscow Ring Road can be explained by its enormous workload and long. A large proportion of the victims - simple pedestrians. This is despite the fact that the ring does not provide for simple pedestrian crossings. In the presence of above-ground crossings, desperate people prefer to hike in the wrong places.

In addition, emergencies create various obstacles: a broken car, repair work, and so on. Drivers enter an obstacle at high speed, failing to notice it. Such accidents are called "secondary", but on the Moscow Ring Road they are most common. Plus, they form kilometer traffic jams for 2-3 hours.

Deadly Warsaw Highway

The second place in terms of accidents is occupied by the Warsaw highway, where every year more than 200 people suffer from accidents. 20-25 people die, the rest remain with injuries of varying severity. In recent years, deputies have not been able to decide on the need for separation chippers on major roads.

Nobody has an unambiguous position on this issue. Barriers play both a positive role and a negative one. Their installation or disassembly causes heated discussions among the ruling parties. Dissatisfied motorists oppose the chippers, they say, they do not allow to make a U-turn for the same ambulance, do not allow to make a maneuver in time and escape from being hit in a reinforced concrete fence.

Kashirskoe highway

Third place is shared by three highways. On the Kashirskoye Highway, 10-15 people die annually, on the Leningradskoye Highway - 15-17. And here the barriers do not save, but only exacerbate the situation. TTK is also in the group of high accident rates. It takes the lives of 15-22 people every year, about 200 are injured. The number of victims at the middle roundabout according to statistics does not decrease, but only increases.
